Andy’s Man Club (AMC) has launched a new branch in Denton, expanding its reach to support men’s mental health. The club’s latest location opened its doors on Monday, January 13, with a mission to provide a safe and supportive space for men facing life’s challenges.
The Denton chapter, part of the club’s broader growth in Tameside, aims to ensure that no man feels isolated. The branch is led by Oggie Ogden, a seasoned AMC member who draws from his personal experiences to guide others. Ogden, a community worker in Tameside, shared how attending AMC helped him regain his sense of self after a difficult period in 2023.
“I was struggling last year and didn’t feel like myself,” Ogden said. “Attending AMC gave me the tools to rediscover who I was. By mid-2023, I decided to give back by becoming a facilitator, helping others the way I was helped when I needed it the most.”
Andy’s Man Club is founded on the belief that “It’s Okay to Talk,” offering men a stigma-free environment where they can share their experiences and support one another. The first meeting for the Denton branch took place at the Oasis Centre, Tatton Road in Haughton Green, from 7-9 pm on January 13.
