In a recent appearance on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, Taylor, born Jason Michael Cauchi, revealed that his struggles with substance abuse began long before his time on the reality series. He disclosed that he regularly used cocaine and drank heavily while filming the show, admitting the hold addiction had on him. However, Taylor also shared an encouraging update: he has now been sober for 83 days.

Taylor spoke openly about his ongoing battle, describing addiction as an “incredibly tough sickness” that he has grappled with since the age of 23. Reflecting on his personal journey, he revealed that the stress of his divorce from Brittany Cartwright had been a breaking point. “I hit rock bottom and had to go to rehab,” he said, acknowledging that it was a critical step in his recovery.

Taylor’s transformation includes more than just physical health. Last summer, he checked into an inpatient mental health facility and has remained dedicated to staying sober, continuing his path toward wellness.

Taylor’s journey highlights the personal struggles behind the public persona, showing his resilience in the face of adversity.
