A tragic incident occurred on Lake Havasu where a 4-month-old baby passed away due to heat-related complications following a boating trip, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
Details are scarce, but the sheriff’s office reported that the child fell ill due to heat-related issues while on a boat around 5:10 p.m. on Friday, July 5.
Emergency responders swiftly transported the baby to Havasu Regional Medical Center and later airlifted the child to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Despite efforts, the child succumbed to the illness shortly after.
A verified GoFundMe account indicates that the family was enjoying a day on the lake when the baby girl lost consciousness. Family members performed CPR until rescue teams arrived.
