For many, sleeping in a chilly room is the pinnacle of relaxation, offering a serene escape from the heat that often plagues sleepers. In fact, a staggering 57% of American adults contend with nighttime overheating. The cool, crisp air of a well-ventilated bedroom, coupled with snug blankets, fosters an atmosphere of utter tranquility.
However, the notion of nestling beneath blankets in a frigid room might not be the universally endorsed path to a good night’s sleep, according to American actor and comedian, David Koechner. Known for his roles in popular films like Anchorman and The Office, Koechner offered his perspective on this issue.
During an episode of the “First Date Show” podcast, hosted by Lauren Compton, conversations traversed a range of topics, including the ideal sleeping temperature. In this unique podcast format, Compton embarks on a first date with her guests and subsequently determines their date-worthiness. Her 15th episode featured a candid conversation with Koechner, where the topic of preferred room temperature for sleep came into play.
Koechner’s response to the question of whether he prefers a cold room for sleeping was unequivocal—he doesn’t. In fact, he declared his room’s temperature setting as nothing short of “perfect.” However, this ideal temperature appeared to be a matter of personal interpretation.
