A man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the Russell neighborhood of Louisville. Authorities are investigating the incident, which occurred in the 3100 block of Elliot Avenue.
The victim, who arrived at Norton Healthcare West Hospital with a gunshot wound, was later transferred to the University of Louisville Hospital for further treatment. Police have confirmed that the man is expected to survive.
The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) is urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously via the LMPD Crime Tip Portal or by calling the department’s tip line at 502-574-LMPD.
