This November, faculty members from the Department of Urology at Yale School of Medicine joined the global movement of “No Shave November,” using the initiative to promote awareness for men’s health.
In an engaging display of solidarity, the professors shaved off their beards and mustaches to highlight the importance of health screenings, particularly for prostate cancer. Alongside this symbolic gesture, healthcare professionals were present to discuss the significance of routine check-ups and early detection, reinforcing the message that men’s health should remain a priority year-round.
The event drew attention not only to prostate cancer but also to broader men’s health issues, aiming to encourage regular medical visits and raise awareness about preventable health conditions.
