The Mall Group, one of the country’s leading shopping complex operators, is optimistic that the annual Vegetable Festival, which began on Wednesday and runs until next Friday (October 11), will drive consumer spending in the third quarter of this year.
Voralak Tulaporn, Chief Marketing Officer of The Mall Group, expressed confidence on Friday that despite economic challenges, the event has attracted significant interest due to the increasing popularity of healthy eating trends.
“Many consumers, both young and old, are embracing vegetarian diets, but in different ways,” she explained. “Older generations tend to avoid meat entirely, while younger consumers prefer innovative plant-based dishes, often presented in creative, fusion-style formats.”
Voralak noted that the various Vegetable Festival events across The Mall’s shopping complexes have successfully drawn in a wide range of consumers, contributing to increased foot traffic.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the festival, dubbed “Legendary J-Fest,” featuring over 300 booths offering more than 3,000 vegetarian dishes. Vendors include popular names such as Tang Jai Yoo Restaurant, Kui Chai Je Toi, Je Ngor’s Kitchen, Khao Tom Plaeng Nam, Sai Noi Mushroom Cottage, and Premium Craft Pizza.
The festival will continue until October 10 at The Mall’s branches in Bang Kapi, Bang Khae, Tha Phra, Ngamwongwan, and Korat.
