Additional factors contributing to acid reflux include obesity, pregnancy, stress and anxiety, hormonal imbalances, and certain medications like pain relievers and anti-inflammatory drugs. Other foods that may trigger heartburn are exotic or sour fruits, coffee, carbonated beverages, garlic, onions, grapes, chocolate, sweets, and sour foods. Foods high in fiber can help people feel full longer, reducing the risk of overeating and preventing heartburn.

Popov also suggests that eating raw vegetables, such as cauliflower, celery, bananas, and walnuts, can help alleviate stomach acid reflux.

Exercise plays a crucial role in managing acid reflux symptoms. According to Popov, it is one of the best preventive measures and treatments for this condition. He also recommends avoiding drinking water, tea, or coffee immediately after meals.
