Zac Efron is back in top shape following a recent health scare. The actor reassured fans about his well-being after a brief hospital stay in Spain. On Sunday, Efron posted a shirtless photo on Instagram, showing himself lifting weights on an exercise ball under the summer sun. Alongside the photo, he wrote, “Happy and healthy. Thanks for the well wishes.”
Efron was hospitalized briefly on Friday night after what his representative described as a “minor swimming incident.” TMZ reported that the actor was found in a villa pool in Ibiza and was pulled from the water. Although the cause of the incident remains unclear, Efron was taken to the hospital as a precaution and was released the following morning.
This health scare occurred during a European trip where Efron attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 26. Recently, he also celebrated his friend Simone Biles, who became the oldest U.S. women’s gymnast to win gold at 27. Efron expressed his pride on Instagram, writing, “So incredibly proud of you.”
Looking ahead, Efron is set to reunite with A24, following his role in last year’s The Iron Claw. He has signed on to star in Jody Hill’s upcoming film, Famous.
