To combat acne, eating antioxidant-rich foods, such as colorful plant-based fruits and vegetables, can help. One study found that dried barberries, a fruit rich in antioxidants, reduced acne by 43% when consumed three times a day for a month.

While many anti-aging products on the market offer little benefit, Dr. Feinsinger advises focusing on nutrition to support skin health. For glowing, youthful skin, he recommends eating a plant-based diet packed with antioxidants. “Oh She Glows,” a cookbook, advocates for glowing from the inside out by nourishing the body with healthy foods.

By making mindful choices regarding smoking, alcohol, sun exposure, and diet, individuals can protect their skin from premature aging and maintain its youthful appearance for years to come.
